Asuncion's capital, Paraguay was a new experience for me. Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay, is a city which combines both the charm and dynamism of past, with warmth and beauty from nature. It also combines diversity in culture, with unity among the nation. In this post, I share with you the reasons that I fell in love With Asuncion. And why you should also consider it for your next vacation destination.

First, let me give you some information about Paraguay. Paraguay lies in South America and is bordered with Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, and Chile. Around 7 million people call Paraguay home, and the majority are of mixed European ancestry. Paraguay's official languages are Spanish and Guarani. It is among the very few countries to be officially bilingual. Paraguay also has a vibrant culture and a rich, long history.

Asuncion has a metropolitan population of 2.3million people, making it the capital city and largest in Paraguay. It is located near the confluence on the Pilcomayo River's left bank. Asuncion has been around since 1537 when the Spanish explorer Juan de Salazar y Espinosa founded it. It is also one of the oldest towns in South America. Asuncion serves as the economic, political and cultural heart of Paraguay.
